RUSH! Dance Gala, 15th June 2025: Prince’s Hall, Aldershot.

PERFORMANCE & TRAINING

On Sunday 18th May 2025, over 250 dancers from Rushmoor took the stage at Princes Hall, spanning six decades in age and a rich variety of styles — from Latin American and Bellydance to Contemporary, Jazz, Charleston, and Hip Hop.

The performances told stories of dreams, AI, pick ’n’ mix sweets, Egyptian folkloric dance, separation, refugees, empowerment, self-confidence, and, above all, the pure love of dance.

Dancers included those with disabilities and learning difficulties, aspiring professionals, competitors, and those dancing in retirement—truly reflecting that dance is for everyone.

The event was a vibrant showcase for local groups to share their passion, connect with wider audiences, and inspire new fans and performers.

“What an amazing night of dance! I didn’t quite know what to expect as I was coming to see my daughter in one of the groups and I had never really seen much contemporary dance before. The audience were really loud and supportive of all of the groups. It was a lovely mix of styles, stories and music.

“It was fun. I liked all of it, especially the dancing. I was very happy to do it and it was superb – absolutely brilliant. We wore our OFLAC t-shirts, black shoes and black trousers. It was an amazing dance. I loved the songs “Moves Like Jagger” and “Beat It”. It was fun to do and dance with my friends from OFLAC.

Thank you very much to Lena and Bobbie and I would like to do it again, if we can”

“Rush Creative, what a wonderful opportunity for young & mature dancers to perform on stage. Lena & her team are amazing, supportive and always have a smile for everybody. We love the buzz, dancing on stage & watching others perform too. Can't wait for more”

“The RUSH platform that Lena has created is bringing together our community to share and inspire each other with our love for dance. The standard of the platform celebrates Dance excellence but also provides a valuable opportunity to people who have never had the opportunity to perform or visit a professional venue before. The culture and diversity of the groups from the local and surrounding area is joyful to witness. This platform is so valuable to all involved”
